We hope this message finds you and your families doing well!! It has been a while since you have heard from us, but we are still here and pushing through this Pandemic. A lot has changed in a year, and we were saddened to lose Mike Enz and Lizz Hunter from our board. Mike was an integral part of establishing the SBC Heritage Foundation. He served on the board for 11 years and held the positions of President and Secretary and was on multiple committees. Lizz served 9 years on the Heritage Foundation and held the offices of Treasurer and Secretary, as well as worked on a number of committees. We will miss these two greatly and wish them luck with all their future endeavors.

Gianna Brigantino attended California Polytechnic State University and graduated in 2017 with her bachelors of Science in Agricultural Business. Following graduation, she returned home to San Benito County where she received her real estate license and joined her family at San Benito Realty, Inc as a third generation real estate agent, and have been there ever since. Working alongside her dad, uncle, and cousin has been one of the most enjoyable and enlightening experiences of her life and she can’t wait to see what the future holds for her career. In December of 2021, she will marry her college sweetheart and plans to raise her family here in San Benito County. She loved growing up in San Benito County and with the fair and is excited to start her involvement with the Heritage Foundation.
A Kern River Valley native and current resident of Hollister, April England has devoted her career to agriculture, as evidenced by her longtime association with the Monterey County Farm Bureau, where she currently serves as the VP of Political Affairs, fundraising, nominations committee and the scholarship chair and previously served in a professional capacity as water quality coordinator. Since 2013, April has distinguished herself as an expert in food safety and regulatory compliance and currently owns and operates her own consulting business, AM Ag Consulting. In her free time, April enjoys cooking, entertaining friends, wine tasting and most of all spending time with her 5 year old son Tanner. In the winter, they can be found on a ski hill and in the summers on the water.
The 33rd Foundation is hosting a fundraiser later this month, and it sounds like it will be lots of fun for the whole family. Tickets must be purchased in advance, so make sure and get yours today!
